We only have One Planet and sustainability is literally our future.  I believe that as designers, we can engineer the change needed to ensure the future of our planet.  Change will be hard, but we can begin with baby steps.  On a larger scale, these steps can make a big difference.

This project was a sustainability initiative that I led our organization on in order to help Walmart achieve their sustainability goals.  I utilized my design team and fabric mill partners to develop fabrications using BCI cotton and recycled polyester, replacing current core programs.  By designing with intent, we were able to create superior products that surpassed all prior aesthetic and performance requirements while maintaining price points and reducing our environmental impact.

This is just a start, but it is the start we need.  We are all in this together.
